Custom Made :: Molly’s Boppy Pillow Cover

I’m sure you know by now I love doing custom work for fellow mamas.

This Boppy cover was no different. Molly and I had been sending Etsy Conversations back and forth for a month, with both of us trying to source the fabric she absolutely HAD to have for her nursery. I totally know that feeling (Damn that tree fabric I used for The Boy’s nursery).

Here were the two initial fabrics she was considering for her nursery:

This girl knew her fabric, and I loved both of them! The only problem is that I couldn’t find either of them locally, and neither could Molly. To the Googles!

But then Molly had a hard time choosing one for her Boppy cover, so we paused so she could narrow down her options.

A week later, she sent me an Etsy Conversation. The fabric has been chosen!

Fabric: Doodle by Lewis + Sheron

I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about sewing Molly a Boppy cover with this fabric, as it was a home-decor weight–the weave and the hand of the fabric are on the thicker side than regular quilting cotton.

In a way, the hom-dec weight was a little easier to work with. I was so relieved it turned out wonderfully:

I discovered later that Molly has her own blog, The Nesting Game, and ohmygoodness It. Is. Gorgeous.  Not only is Molly incredibly talented and crafty (she curated the room, made pillows, an ottoman cover, the crib skirt, etc. etc. etc.), but she writes this gorgeous blog with amazing photos that’s been featured in HGTV Magazine, Apartment Therapy, Design*Sponge, and more).

Here’s a shot of her gorgeous nursery (photo credit Molly of The Nesting Game):

In her post, “The Baby’s Room,” Molly was totally awesome and not only mentioned the Boppy cover, she linked my shop! Aw, shucks. This girl rocks!

Molly wrote,  “I had a custom boppy cover made from this etsy store. This was one sewing project I decided to outsource. The owner, Holly, was so nice and dealt with my fabric indecisiveness. And of course the little woodland creatures will vamoose once baby gets here.”

It was after reading that portion, I smiled. Molly was super awesome to work with, and it didn’t even faze me that she took time deciding on her fabric. As you can see, the nursery ties together beautifully for her brand new little boy, Townes.

Go check out Molly’s amazing blog!
